1 and 2 Thessalonians

Paul wrote this letter to the church of Thessalonica to clear up misunderstandings they had about the return of Christ. He also wrote it as an instruction in holy living.

The first three chapters are about Paul longing to visit the church in Thessalonica but not being able to because Satan stopped him, and how he cared for them and was encouraged to hear how they had been. In chapter 4, Paul instructs them on how to live a holy life.

Paul goes on to correct a misconception they had. He tells them that the people who have died in Christ Jesus will also go to heaven when He comes back. The book ends with final instructions for living the Christian life.

2 Thessalonians

Paul wrote this letter to clear up misconceptions the church in Thessalonica still had about the Day of the Lord. They thought it had come already so they stopped with their work. The letter is filled with information about the end times.

Paul encourages and comforts the church. He commends them for what he hears they are doing in the Lord, and he prays for them. In chapter 2, Paul explains what will happen in the Day of the Lord. Paul then encourages them to stand firm and instructs them to keep away from idle men who don’t live by the gospel.

When you disagree with a commentary, remember that God's Word, the Bible, supercedes any and all other commentaries.

To print this commentary in Spanish, simply right-click with your mouse here: DOWNLOAD Tesalonicenses, Then choose "Save As" on the fly-up-menu that appears. Guide the next window to the folder where you would like to save this book file, and click "open" or "save" on that window. When it finishes, it will be on your computer.

Now navigate to that saved file, and click or double-click (depending on your computer) to open the file. Use your usual printing commands to print first the odd number pages, and then turn the pages over and put into your printer again, and give the command to print the even numbered pages. (You may have to experiment a bit to get this to turn out right, so one side is not upside down, etc.) When done correctly the pages can be laid one on top of the other in sequence, then folded in the middle. You now have one copy of the book. You can print as many as your printer and ink supply will allow.

You will find more material on our Additional Resources page

This is a bilingual site, designed to minister to both our Spanish and English speaking readers. Almost every page has a Spanish or English version alternate. Just above the first headline or title of each page, you will find a link to the opposite language version of that page, where is it says, En español if you are on an English page, and In English if you are on a Spanish page.

You can quickly tell by the colors. Spanish pages have touches of green; English pages have soft blue tones.

The English pages come first, and the Spanish pages are added a week or two later when the webmaster receives the Spanish translations.

Read How Spanish Evangelical Resources Began

These Bible Commentary booklets were born in the mind and heart of Fred Morris, who was concerned that people in many parts of the world needed to learn these precious truths about God and His Son Jesus, in their own language and in an affordable way. He wrote many such booklets. Learn more about Fred Morris and his wife Lorna at the mannapublications.org (USA) website.

Another website manna-publications.org.uk has an editor and others at work preparing more and more of Fred's books for free download in 4 languages so far. Western culture/jargon is removed and religious terms are explained. They are easy to translate into more languages. (Yes, this is a BIG project!)

This site is focused on providing the Spanish translations as free downloads, and other helpful materials in this bi-lingual Spanish/English website.
