The story of how Spanish Evangelical Resources (SER) began starts in Cameroon, West Africa, where, through his ministry, Larry Crabtree used Manna Publication commentaries to train pastors and Christian leaders in remote villages. This literature has had a profound impact, as evidenced by the testimonies of pastors like Rev. Philip Manboing, who have found these resources invaluable in their ministries.

Australian-born missionary Fred Morris wrote the booklets. God had called Fred to meet the needs of literature-starved believers worldwide. His vision was to provide low-cost, self-teaching Bible commentaries for believers in locations with a shortage of teachers and teaching material.

As of 2010, Manna had no commentaries translated into Spanish and had no presence in Latin America. T hen God called Larry to make the commentaries available to the Spanish-speaking people in Latin America. Larry obtained permission from Fred to translate Eight of his booklets into Spanish and distribute them through his ministry, Spanish Evangelical Resources. Over 10,000 copies of the commentaries have been printed in Guatemala and Mexico and distributed through pastors, Christian leaders, SER's training seminars, and this website—a testament to their unwavering commitment to the mission.

Since his call to Latin America, God has blessed Larry with an exceptionally gifted ministry team in Guatemala, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We will continue to add resources to this website to help the lost find Christ and to help all believers grow in their faith.
